Two new members join the Whitworth Board of Trustees

Jeremiah Case, ’01, a CPA at Deloitte & Touche LLP, and Randall Clark, Ph.D., retired president and CEO of Border Foods, were elected to the Whitworth University Board of Trustees this summer. Both Case and Clark will attend their first board meeting this October.

Whitworth has landed once again on Forbes’ annual rankings of the top undergraduate institutions in the United States. Whitworth joins some of the most prestigious schools in the country in the magazine's latest rankings, where it is listed as one of the top 10 private schools in the Pacific Northwest.

Annika Westre, ’13, is completing a summer internship at Hart Capital Management, in Spokane, Wash., before heading to Boston University this fall to begin work on a master’s degree in mathematical finance. Westre graduated from Whitworth with a B.A. degree in mathematical economics and mathematics.

Whitworth, Gonzaga and Spokane Public Schools partner to improve student learning at Holmes Elementary

The Washington State Legislature has awarded a $500,000 grant that supports a partnership between Whitworth University, Gonzaga University and Spokane Public Schools to improve student learning and educational services at Holmes Elementary School, in Spokane’s West Central Neighborhood.

Whitworth alumnae Amy Schroeder, '09, and Katrina Wheeler, '08, are among 16 graduate students selected this year to the prestigious Lilly Graduate Fellows Program. The graduate program is part of the Lilly Fellows Program in Humanities and the Arts that supports outstanding students who want to explore connections between Christianity, higher education, and the vocation of the teacher-scholar.
