Whitworth choirs to present 2015 Christmas Festival Concert, “Ring Out Your Joy: Peace to the World is Given”

The 2015 Whitworth University Christmas Festival Concert, “Ring Out Your Joy: Peace to the World is Given,” will take place in Seattle Dec. 5 and 6, and in Spokane Dec. 12 and 13. The concerts will feature more than 120 student-musicians, including members of the Whitworth Choir, the Whitworth Women’s Choir, the Whitworth Men’s Chorus and the Whitworth Chamber Singers, as well as student instrumentalists and narrators. Whitworth Mourns Passing of Pirate Legend Sam Adams

The entire Whitworth University community mourns the passing of Sam Adams, a man who influenced the lives of an entire era of Pirate student-athletes. Adams passed away peacefully early Friday morning, Nov. 13, 2015.

Jeremy Begbie presents on “Why the Arts Matter to Faith” at Whitworth University

Whitworth University welcomes Jeremy Begbie, Langford Research Professor in Theology at Duke Divinity School and a fellow of the Royal School of Church Music, to present a lecture, “Out of this World – Why the Arts Matter to Faith.” Begbie’s lecture will be illustrated extensively with his performance at the piano, and will take place on Thursday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. in Weyerhaeuser Hall’s Robinson Teaching Theatre at Whitworth University.
