“Something Rotten!” Is Going on at Whitworth

February 9, 2022

It’s a crowd-pleasing musical farce and it’s Whitworth University’s spring main-stage production. It’s Something Rotten! Order your tickets now for shows on March 11, 12, 18 and 19 at 7:30 p.m. or March 13 and 20 at 2 p.m. inside Cowles Auditorium.

Set in the 1590s, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of a Renaissance rock star known as “The Bard.” When the brothers learn the future of theatre involves singing, dancing and acting at the same time, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world’s very first musical.

This hit Broadway play was nominated for 10 Tony Awards and features a number of feel-good song and dance numbers that will leave you dancing in the aisles.

General admission tickets may be purchased online here. Prices: adults, $18; seniors/students, $15; Whitworth students, $5. Tickets purchased at the door will incur an additional processing fee. Cash payments will not be accepted.

Patrons must be fully masked at all times when inside Cowles Auditorium.

This show contains mild bawdy humor and innuendo. Parental guidance is suggested.
