Whitworth University’s English and history departments along with Speakers & Artists are pleased welcome Alexander Heffner, host of The Open Mind on PBS and co-author of the bestselling A Documentary History of the United States, on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 7 p.m. in Weyerhaeuser Hall’s Robinson Teaching Theatre.

Whitworth Theatre and Music Departments Collaborate on "The Sound of Music"

Something truly special is happening at Whitworth this fall. The fall main-stage production, The Sound of Music, Oct. 14-23 in Cowles Auditorium, will be a collaboration by Whitworth’s theatre and music departments, with both alumni and current students taking part.

Whitworth was also ranked No. 2 in best colleges for veterans and No. 3 overall among best regional universities in the West.

Community Building Day 2022 Supports Whitworth’s Mission to Serve Humanity

Whitworthians will head out into the community on Wednesday, Sept. 28, to continue the 115-year tradition of Community Building Day. This year, students, faculty, and President Scott and Janice McQuilkin will meet in the Whitworth Fieldhouse at 7:20 a.m. and take buses to several locations where they’ll volunteer their time for four hours.

Whitworth University is pleased to welcome retired U.S. Navy Admiral James Stavridis, NATO’s 16th Supreme Allied Commander Europe and 15th Commander of the U.S. European Command (2009-2013), as the featured speaker at the university’s President’s Leadership Forum on Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Spokane Convention Center. Lunch will be served.
