The 2016 Whitworth University Christmas Festival Concert, Gloria, will take place in Bellevue Dec. 3, in Seattle Dec. 4, and in Spokane Dec. 10 and 11. The concerts will feature more than 100 student-musicians, including members of the Whitworth Choir, the Whitworth Women’s Choir and the Whitworth Men’s Chorus, as well as student instrumentalists and narrators. For more information, please call (509) 777-3280.

“This marks the 14th consecutive Christmas Festival Concert I will have directed at the university, and I am as excited about this concert as about any we’ve done at Whitworth,” says Marc A. Hafso, professor of music and director of choral activities at Whitworth. “I encourage all who have yet to experience this unique presentation by our gifted and passionate student-singers and instrumentalists to attend and see why the concert remains the traditional beginning of Advent and Christmas celebrations for so many.”

The concert theme, Gloria, will be elevated through choral works, readings and traditional carols for audience and choirs. Presented without interruption, the concert will be concluded by candlelight.
