Whitworth Office of Church Engagement Presents the Whitworth Ministry Summit
June 10, 2019
The Whitworth Office of Church Engagement invites the community to take part in the 45th annual Whitworth Ministry Summit (formerly WIM) from June 24-27.
The week includes innovative workshops and inspirational preachers, teachers and guest speakers such as the Rev. Luke A. Powery, dean of Duke University Chapel; Leah Kostamo, author of Planted: A Story of Creation, Calling, and Community; and Ines Velasquez-McBryde, M.Div., a
speaker on reconciliation.
The conference is no longer for just pastors, but for anyone who wants to take a few days to think more deeply about ministry in any of these areas:
• Refugees & Immigrants
• Reconciliation
• Creation Care
• The City & The Church
• Preaching
• Worship
• Church Planting
• Youth Ministry
“Whitworth was founded on and is committed to a deep partnership with the church,” says Mindy Smith, associate director of the Whitworth Office of Church Engagement. “We see the Whitworth Ministry Summit as one of the best ways we can equip, encourage and deepen our relationships with those in ministry around the country.”
The whole family is welcome. The children’s program (infant to youth) will run simultaneously with the conference. The registration deadline is Friday, June 15. Click here to register and for more information on the Whitworth Ministry Summit.
Located in Spokane, Wash., Whitworth is a private liberal arts university affiliated with the Presbyterian church. The university, which has an enrollment of more than 3,000 students, offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
