Whitworth to Celebrate the Class of 2024 During Commencement Weekend May 18-19
Graduate Ceremony: Saturday, May 18, 10 a.m.
One hundred eighteen graduate students will participate in the graduate commencement ceremony. This ceremony will not require tickets, and graduates may invite as many guests as they would like. Whitworth Professor of Business & Economics Dawn Keig will be the keynote speaker.
Undergraduate Ceremony: Sunday, May 19, 10 a.m.
Four hundred ninety-seven students will participate in Sunday’s undergraduate ceremony. Tickets will be required for all guests. Graduates will receive a total of six tickets. Two additional ticket lotteries took place in December and March, giving students the chance to receive a total of 10 guest tickets. All additional tickets were distributed during these lotteries, and there are no additional tickets available.
Whitworth trustee Andy Robblee ’95 will lead the processional. The Rev. Stephy Nobles-Beans ’03, M.A. ’17, associate chaplain of diversity, equity & inclusion ministry, will give the invocation. Elise Leal Henreckson, assistant professor of history, will deliver the commencement address, “How to Not Gain the World.”
