Jon Guerra’s “Invisible Things” Tour Comes to Whitworth Feb. 20
Guerra will be stopping in Spokane as part of his “Invisible Things” tour. He is a well-known singer-songwriter who writes inspiring devotional music. His debut album, Little Songs, was released in 2015. He went on to compose music for Terrence Malick’s 2019 film, A Hidden Life. His most recent full-length album called Jesus was released last year.
“This gathering is not a concert so much as an experiment in cultivating resonance with the unseen layers of reality,” Guerra says. “Beauty puts us in touch with invisible things: spirit, hope, personhood, the kingdom of God, soul, love. Deep calls to deep.”
Delaney Young is an indie Christian singer-songwriter with a background in classical piano. Her song, “As I Am,” was released as part of The Gospel Coalition’s collaborative album What is The Gospel?
Andy Squyres is a singer-songwriter, poet and writer known for his folk-inspired music and reflective, faith-infused lyrics. He blends introspective songwriting with poetic prose, often exploring themes of faith, life’s struggles, hope and the human condition.
Emmaus Program Director Derek Taylor says Guerra’s music nurtures a deeper and more contemplative faith. “Rooted in the words of Jesus, his songwriting carries a theological depth often absent from mainstream Christian music,” Taylor says.
The event is open to the public. Each attendee will need a ticket. Tickets are $10 for the general public. They are free for Whitworth students, staff and faculty. Get your tickets here.
