Whitworth University Professor Receives Brenau University Professional Achievement Award
The Professional Achievement Award recognizes Brenau alumni who have demonstrated exceptional achievement and leadership in their professions. Henager Greene earned her Master of Business Administration from Brenau University in 2009 and has built a distinguished career in higher education, research and service.
An award-winning educator, Henager Greene holds a doctorate in family financial planning, housing and consumer economics from the University of Georgia and a bachelor’s degree in economics and international affairs from Eastern Washington University.
“Robin’s dedication to students has been a defining feature of her career and has made a lasting impact on Whitworth’s School of Business and the broader academic community,” says John Pell, provost & executive vice president. “She brings genuine joy to the work of teaching and mentoring, investing deeply in her students and celebrating their growth, success and professional accomplishments. Her commitment to excellence is matched by her care for the people she serves. This recognition from Brenau University is a well-deserved honor and reflects the significant contributions she has made to students and colleagues throughout her career.”
Henager Greene has served as both interim dean and associate dean of the Whitworth School of Business and has been instrumental in leading the school's successful pursuit of accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in 2020. Attaining AACSB accreditation, a distinction widely recognized as the gold standard in business education, culminated more than a decade of work by faculty and administrators. While serving as interim dean, she helped secure the extension of the school’s accreditation for an additional six years.
Throughout her career, Henager Greene has contributed extensively to professional and community organizations. She served as president of the American Council on Consumer Interests and has held board positions with the Financial Planning Association, The Way of Business and Big Table. She also serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Financial Counseling and Planning.
The 2026 Professional Achievement Award highlights Henager Greene’s outstanding record of scholarship, leadership and service, as well as her continued commitment to advancing business education and supporting students, colleagues and communities.
