Whitworth selects Dale Hammond, ’98, as its Director of Alumni & Parent Relations and Annual Giving

Dale Hammond, ’98, will join Whitworth University as its next director of alumni & parent relations and annual giving, replacing Aaron McMurray, ’95, who accepted a position at Warner Pacific College in Portland, Ore., earlier this spring. Hammond will start in his new role July 8.
Biology major awarded full-tuition scholarship from Woodrow Foundation

Each academic year, the Woodrow Foundation awards a scholarship to one Whitworth student based on academic excellence, leadership skills and financial need. This year’s recipient is Benjamin Wiseman, a biology major from La Grande, Ore. Wiseman’s $36,007 Woodrow Foundation Scholarship covers full tuition, books and fees for the 2013-14 academic year.

Whitworth Act Six Scholars Ingrid Gonzales Sub Cuc and Hanh Nguyen will be venturing deeper into their fields of biology and chemistry by traveling to different areas of the country for summer internships.
