Whitworth University Polynesian Club Celebrates 50th Lū‘au

Whitworth University’s Polynesian Club will host the university’s 50th Lū‘au  on April 23 at 5 p.m. in the Hixson Union Building and the fieldhouse.

This year’s theme is “Eia au he mama o Hawai‘i” (Here I am a descendant of Hawai‘i, the new era). Guests will experience the customs and flavors of some of the major islands of the Polynesian Triangle including Hawai‘i, Samoa and New Zealand.

Dinner will be served from 5-6:30 p.m. in the HUB, and the performance will take place from 7-10 p.m. in the fieldhouse.

The menu includes kalua pig, rice, lomi salmon, chicken long rice, macaroni salad, green salad, barbecue chicken, haupia and pineapple upside down cake. 

A “General Admission + Dinner” ticket includes the Lū‘au meal and the performance. All other ticket prices only include admission to the fieldhouse performance.
