Whitworth University is pleased to announce it has named Josh Hibbard, Ph.D., as vice president for enrollment management. Hibbard has an extensive background in Christian higher education and two decades of enrollment management experience.

In his most recent position at Bloom Institute of Technology, Hibbard served as the head of admissions and learner success. In this role, he was responsible for the development and implementation of the recruitment, admissions and student success programming of the school. Under his leadership, the institute saw significant revenue growth in just eight months.

Previously, Hibbard served as vice president of enrollment management at Central Washington University and associate vice president for enrollment and student success at the Christian university Azusa Pacific.

“Dr. Josh Hibbard is a seasoned and highly respected leader in enrollment management,” President Scott McQuilkin says. “He brings deep knowledge and experience from within Christian higher education, and has recently led successful enrollment efforts in Washington state. Dr. Hibbard has a heart for the ways by which a Whitworth experience can transform lives, and we are so very pleased that he’ll be leading our stellar team in sharing that message with prospective students and their families.”

Hibbard says this is an exciting time to join Whitworth and he’s honored to serve the students, parents and the university community in this role.

“I am impressed with the leadership of the university, the faculty and the students who are working together in forging an incredible future as an exemplary institution of higher education,” Hibbard says. “It’s clear that President McQuilkin is one of those rare leaders that cares deeply about both the institution and the community it serves. Although the landscape of higher education enrollment contains some uncertainties, I am optimistic about the future of Whitworth. It is an honor to join this incredible university through supporting and elevating the exceptional work of the enrollment management division toward the fulfillment of the mission of the university."

Hibbard earned his doctor of philosophy and his master of arts in social science from Azusa Pacific University and his bachelor of arts from Life Pacific University.

Whitworth’s search committee conducted an extensive nationwide search. The applicants included many talented individuals from across the country.
