Whitworth to Host Fourth Annual Military Appreciation Game on Sept. 30
Pre-game activities will include:
• Two skydivers landing in the stadium (weather dependent)
• Flyover by a T-28 Trojan (weather dependent)
• Unfurling of our 80-foot American flag
• Static display of an Army helicopter (weather dependent)
“Hosting the Military Appreciation Game is the highlight of my year!” says Phil Labrie, associate director for military & veterans outreach. “It’s such an honor to publicly recognize the men and women at Whitworth who selflessly served our great nation. I’m grateful to all the volunteers who help make this event happen.”
During halftime, Whitworth President Scott McQuilkin will be joined by Lt. Col. Jeremiah Kirschman, 92nd Mission Support Group deputy commander at Fairchild Airforce Base, in performing the coining ceremony, which honors members of Whitworth’s military community.
Admission is free for all members of the military/veterans, their families, and Gold Star families. Please visit the red Whitworth “Serving Our Veterans” tent to pick up free tickets.
