Whitworth to Host Fifth Annual Military Appreciation Game on Sept. 14
• Skydivers displaying red, white and blue smoke landing in the stadium (weather dependent)
• Whitworth Choir performing the National Anthem
• Unfurling of an 80-foot American flag
During halftime, members of Whitworth’s military community will be honored in a coining ceremony. It will be led by Mark Baird, Whitworth professor of psychology and U.S. Army veteran; Col. Mark Scott ’01, 141st Maintenance Group commander at Fairchild Airforce Base; Lt. Col. Michael Omodt, department chair for the Gonzaga Bulldog Battalion; and Capt. Daniel Mack, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Detachment 905 at Washington State University.
Admission is free for all members of the military/veterans, their families, and Gold Star families. Please visit the red Whitworth “Serving our Veterans” tent to pick up free tickets.
