Whitworth Graduate Student Achieves National Recognition with Charles Schwab Foundation CFP® Scholarship
The scholarship, administered by the CFP Board Center for Financial Planning in partnership with the Charles Schwab Foundation, is awarded to a select group of students nationwide who demonstrate financial need, academic commitment and a strong dedication to becoming Certified Financial Planner™ professionals.
Recipients are selected through a competitive national process, with emphasis on leadership potential, community impact and dedication to ethical financial advising. Hundreds of students nationwide apply for this scholarship every year, and only 16 are selected.
Kuhiiki was chosen for her demonstrated passion for helping individuals and families achieve financial security. Through coursework and hands-on learning experiences, she has shown a clear commitment to entering the financial planning profession and making a meaningful impact in the community.
“In my application, I focused on my mission to bridge the financial literacy gaps I experienced growing up in Hawaii,” Kuhiiki says. “As a young mother and a Native Hawaiian, I am deeply committed to mastering the complexities of this field, not just for my own career, but to serve as a resource for my community. My goal is to empower others with the financial fluency I had to discover on my own and to ensure my children grow up with a foundation of generational wealth.”
“A core goal of Whitworth’s MSFP program is to broaden access and increase diversity within the financial planning field,” says Sinead Voorhes, associate dean of graduate enrollment services. “Razjah embodies that vision – her unique story positions her to connect with and serve communities that have historically been underrepresented and underserved. We are so proud of her!”
