Florence Reed, Sustainable Harvest International founder and president and Woodrow Wilson Fellow, will give the first lecture of Whitworth’s 57th annual Great Decisions Lecture Series Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the Robinson Teaching Theatre of Whitworth’s Weyerhaeuser Hall. McIntosh will meet with students, faculty and staff during daylong campus visit
Peggy McIntosh, Ph.D., will present a lecture, “Unpacking the Invisible Knapsack: Privilege, Education, and the Vision of Achieving Inclusion,” at Whitworth University on Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. in the Robinson Teaching Theatre in Weyerhaeuser Hall. The lecture is free and open to the public.

The Whitworth Jazz Ensemble will perform on tour in Italy Jan. 13-26, 2014, marking the eighth time the ensemble has toured the country. The ensemble is led by Daniel Keberle, director of jazz studies and trumpet professor at Whitworth.
Whitworth chemistry student wins Murdock Poster Prize at recent research conference

Whitworth chemistry major Shannon James-Kozlovich, ’14, recently brought home a Murdock Poster Prize in Organic and Computational Chemistry from the 2013 Murdock College Science Research Program Conference in Vancouver, Wash.
