Whitworth University Introduces Student Ambassadors for 2020-21

Seven outstanding students have been named Whitworth student ambassadors for the 2020-21 academic year.
The Whitworth University Student Ambassadors Program is housed within the office of the president and focuses on opportunities to participate in events and activities that promote service and the work of the university to a broad range of stakeholders.
The students will act as hosts during special events, as liaisons between the university and its many constituencies, and will assist the president, his staff, and others as needed. The newest class includes:
In order to apply for membership, students must be recognized for their leadership potential and be nominated by a university faculty or staff member.
Julie Taylor, special assistant to the board of trustees, and Michelle Drennen, director of the office of university events, are co-advisors of this program that focuses on service and will offer students the chance to develop their professional and public speaking skills.

- Elizabeth Hirotaka ’22, communication major
- Aws Alwattar ’21, chemistry major
