Whitworth appoints John Hengesh as interim director of its MBA program

Whitworth University has appointed John Hengesh, a longtime Spokane-area executive and adjunct faculty member in the School of Global Commerce & Management, to serve as interim director of the Whitworth Graduate Studies in Business Program. He begins June 1.

Whitworth publishes updated edition of illustrated university history book

Much has happened in the 20 years since longtime professor Dale Soden's illustrated history of Whitworth was published for the university's centennial celebration in 1990. Whitworth journalism student receives MarCom internship award

Sophomore Heather Kennison has been selected to receive this year's Spokane Regional MarCom Association internship award. Kennison, a journalism and Spanish double-major, is one of three recipients of the award from a competitive field of applicants.

Physics major receives full-tuition scholarship to Princeton University's research program

Student also will receive President's Cup Award at commencement ceremony May 16

Senior Sean McGuire, a double major in mathematics and physics, has received a full tuition scholarship and a stipend to conduct research in the Lasers and Applied Physics doctorate program at Princeton University. The award amounts to $65,000-70,000 per year for up to six years.
